My name is Hayden Prince. This May, I will be graduating from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. This Fall, I will be continuing my education at Texas State by pursuing a M.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Race/Ethnicity.
My time as an undgrad was full of experiences that helped my gain valuable skills.

I am a strong believer that things aren't worth doing unless it is done with passion. I find that my passions are driven toward understand social issues in race/ethnicity studies and intersectionality.
I am motivated to make the world a better, more inclusive place in whatever way I can.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR, CENTER FOR DIVERSITY AND GENDER STUDIES

JANUARYÂ 2017Â - MAY 2017
Interning for the Center for Diversity and Gender Studies pushed by creative and technical abilities. I created content using applications like Photoshop and InDesgn. I conducted a research project that aided a task force committee set to bring a African American Studies minor to Texas State University; the research I presented informed the rest of the committee if adding a program is feasibly for the school.
RESIDENT ASSISTANT, TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY

Each year I was an RA, I developed rapport with over 200 residents; and aided with their personal development, enhanced their educational experiences, and cultivated an inclusive community. I performed skills in conflict-resolution mediation, event planning, and community relations. While working, I still thrived academically and maintained a spot on the Dean's List.
STEM LEADER, GIRLSTART
FEBRUARY 2015- MAY 2015
Girlstart is a nonprofit organization based in Austin, TX who's mission is to encourage young girls to take interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. My role a STEM leader was to facilitate and after school program for elementary school girls—where I conducted a classroom lesson, discussion, and hands-on activity.

Graduated magna cum laude. The BS program emphasized the  application of classroom knowledge into real world practice. The paramount skills gained from this degree were theoretical application and quantitative data analysis and statistics.
